In addition to Castlegregory itself, Tralee and Dingle offer a wide choice of quality dining and vibrant pubs where every taste is catered for.
During the summer months, an impressive variety of entertainment is available, from currach racing (these are Irish native boats of distinctive shape and character) to a week-long carnival in July. Castlegregory 'Pattern Day' is celebrated on August 15th, when the established tradition is to eat locally-made mutton pies and wash them down with plenty of creamy Guinness!!
On summer evenings, traditional music can be heard at several pubs in the village. There are a number of restaurants, cafes and pubs in Castlegregory and the Maharees, offering everything from take-away food service to fine dining, with local seafood a speciality. |
